Selection Mode in Schematic views?

There are several places in the documentation for 2025 Flame that mention setting the "Selection Mode Box". In older versions of Flame, this let you select an option of 'Selected|All|Branch' and it determined the range of a Delete, Hide or other node-related operation in the Batch and Action Schematic views. It was right next to the Hide/Delete/other buttons for which it was tied.

Does this still exist as a button as the documentation suggests? If so, where is the Selection Mode Box as I must be overlooking it?

Hello Sam,

This button has been removed. You can now do the following to achieve the same Result:

  • Selected: Select the desired nodes in the Schematic using the standard selection mechanism
  • Branch: Alt-Click or Alt-Space-Click on a node to select all its upstream or downstream nodes.
  • All: Use the Select All keyboard shortcut (Ctrl-A in Flame, Keypad/ in Smoke Classic)

Then, use the desired operation (hide, delete, etc.)

Hello Fred!

Thank you for the info....Glad to know I wasn't losing my mind (or vision) because I couldn't find that Button! Muscle memory had me moving to where it used to be located.

I suggest that all the old references to "use the Selection Mode Button/Box" be removed from the Flame docs.
