HDR XML Export Issue

Hey there,

Hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I was having exporting an XML for an HDR sequence.

Working in 2025.2.1, I had frame sequences.  For each, I imported the accompanying XML track to derive the SDR.  I then edited together an 18min sequence of selected scenes.  This sequence was cut together carrying across the PQ and HDR Track.  I exported the sequence, creating one continuous file sequence and exported the xml to accompany the sequence.

I then compared the resulting SDR result from my selected scene files against the original sequences and found the results did not match.  My sequence/xml was giving a slightly darker result.

I did not change any of the trims or parameters from the original xml file.

I had done this a few times before with 2023.2.2 and had no issues but this is the first time with version 2025.2.1.

Is there something new in the setups that I should have changed?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also having this same issue.  I've narrowed it down to something that is happening when the source Dolby xml is first imported.  In the terminal an error of "Cannot set GlobalMidOffset: No analysis available" is displayed for each event in the xml.  Try reimporting your source xml and see if this error shows up in the terminal.

For now our workaround is to import hdr media and dobly xml into Flame 2023, archive it, then restore the archive in flame 2025.  Dolby xmls exported from flame 2025 seem to be fine.

Autodesk! Please fix!
