Look At on Y-axis only

Hi,

I'm working on an action scene that has multiple 3D cylinders that should keep facing the camera. I would like the cylinders to "look at" so they rotate on their Y-axis only, so i can still see top and bottom if i move the camera up or down. Hope this makes sense.

Is this achievable?

Looking forward to hearing from you 😄

Cheers,

Henrik

Greetings Henrik,

This is probably a little late but I made a batch setup, because I too have difficulty getting 'lookat' to evaluate predictably.
It may be in a version of flame that you may not be able to open yet.
I can probably export expressions and animation data in text files that will be compatible with older versions if you need, or you can ping me at phil_man@mac.com (facetime, zoom, teams) and i can talk you through it.

Phil
