F2018.3 Project is in recovery mode

Hi,

Since I had a bad crash, one of my projects is in recovery mode. It says also that the integrity check is missing/failing.

When I am running /opt/Autodesk/io/bin/vic -a, I get:

Header for /opt/Autodesk/clip/stonefs/project.prj/Workspace.wksp/.#workspace.000.wks cannot be read or is incompatible.
Header for /opt/Autodesk/clip/stonefs/project.prj/Workspace.wksp/.#workspace.000.wks cannot be read or is incompatible.
Unable to extract frameids from libraries
Unable to extract frameids from libraries
Integrity check failed to proceed.

 I followed this instruction:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/flame-products/troubleshooting/caas/simplecontent/content/fla...

So I run (root)

/opt/Autodesk/io/bin/vic -v stonefs0

But still get the same result like above.

My setup: Linux, Flame 2018.3. Flame 2019 is installed but not running. (we need to update the license server)

Thx,

Henrik

Hi Henrik,

Aside from the message "Project Volume is in Recovery Mode", your Workspace in the project "project" looks to be corrupted as well:

Header for /opt/Autodesk/clip/stonefs/project.prj/Workspace.wksp/.#workspace.000.wks cannot be read or is incompatible.

To try to recover it, please check and follow the instruction in this article:

The article shows solution on how to recover corrupted library, but the process should be the same with "Workspace" recovery.  I recommend that you backup your project metadata first as well as the project _AUTO_BACKUP before the recovery process, from your output they should be as follows:

/opt/Autodesk/clip/stonefs/project.prj

/opt/Autodesk/clip/stonefs/project_AUTO_BACKUP

Hope this helps.

**Please accept this as a solution if you feel your question has been answered.

Regards,

Jeff

Hi Jeffrey,

Thanks for your help. It worked.

The only bummer was that my workspace.001 was pretty old. It is ok because I am doing just batch in that project and I had all my iterations. But I thought workspaces get saved too by saving the project.

Thank you!

I am pretty new in Flame, I guess I have to read a lot more how Flame works under the hood. How the project, media, and workspace structure is built...
