Urgent! Special characters when engraving font?

Urgent! Special characters when engraving font? If I engrave font and insert special characters with alt and on the number field +155 it shows me also in the input field ø 36. Only the 36 is engraved. The special character is also not displayed in the profile. Is this not supported? Ask for help! Urgent!

Dringend! Sonderzeichen beim Gravieren von Schrift? Wenn ich Schrift graviere und Sonderzeichen eingebe mit Alt und auf dem Ziffernfeld +155 zeigt es mir auch im Eingabefeld ø 36 an. Nur die 36 wird graviert. Das Sonderzeichen wird im Profil auch nicht angezeigt. Wird dieses nicht unterstützt? Erbitte um Hilfe! Dringend!

It worked fine for me after I added it to the groove feature.

is not made in a groove feature, not already displayed in the profile. Only seen in the input field of the text. The other engravings I projected a stroke over the O manually. Out of necessity, I got it up and running. In the profile text it is not supported. Please check again! To recognize everything in the FM project. Sincerely, Mathias Beyer

wird nicht in einem Nut Feature gefertigt, schon im Profil nicht angezeigt. Nur im Eingabe Feld des Textes zu sehen. Die anderen Gravuren habe ich manuell ein Strich über dem O projektziert. Aus der Not heraus habe ich das zum Laufen gebracht. Im Profil Text wird es nicht unterstützt. Bitte nochmals prüfen! Alles im FM Projekt zu erkennen. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Mathias Beyer

In your screenshots, only the text 36ist can be seen. However, it should be made as in the text profile ø36ist to be made.

In deinen Screenshots ist auch nur der Text 36ist zu sehen. Es soll aber wie im Text Profil eingetragen ø36ist gefertigt werden.

Hi Mathias,

Now I have take a look into your fm-file, and first of all FeatureCAM don't support Æ Ø Å.

One way I do it is make the letter in a CAD software, save as a DXF / DWG, import to FC, Edit the letters so it looks good then create curves and features save it in "Part Library" then add it where you need it, and when you have created to curves you have the ability to "scale" it up and down so it looks like the engrave you made in FC, I have tried to show it in the video hope it's helpfull.

The diameter symbol is not supported. So just I created a small "o" curve , then with a 80 degree line going thru it, change your curve into geometry and trim the line. This is so cumbersome but it will work.

Hi,

If you want to do it through CAD-software then use Unicode "ALT" + "0216" for Uppercase and "ALT" + "0248" for Lowercase.
