Hallo Mathias,

das ist meines Wissens nicht möglich. Selbst ein Kopieren von Features, Geometrien usw. von einem Zoll in ein Millimeter-Projekt klappt nicht. Oder anders: kann man schon, nur z.B. 10 Zoll werden dann als 10 Millimeter erzeugt. Es wird also nur die Einheit getauscht, aber nix umgerechnet.

Nur als möglicher Lösungsansatz, vielleicht kannst du deinen Postprozessor so ändern, dass er Koordinaten automatisch von Zoll in Millimenter umrechnet?

that's not possible. Even copying features, geometries etc. from an imperial project to an metric project dosnt't deliver the expected results.

I have some machines that run in metric and some that run in inch. I spend a good part of my day doing conversions, for everything from tools to feeds and speeds. there ought to be a better way.

As I understand it, you should be able to use a metric post for an inch document and have everything come out with the desired metric values. 

 

Outside of that....yeah. You need to redo things.

we have a crib for metric and inch, and you can copy a tool from the metric crib and it will output it in inches if you have your settings to INCHES.

@kelbie.ockey, it's not that easy. My suggestion was to modify the (metric) post to convert all coordinates from imperial to metric. Haven't tested that, because I'm not that into postprocessoring, but might work.
