Slot milling

Hi all,

 

how can I create slot operation with movements like in the picture.

Is this a roughing operation? Can you upload your .fm file?

Yes, it is roughing, but it doesn't matter i just need movements like first drawing on picture.

If you define it as a simple groove and set ramp angle to 0 degrees the it will do what i think you want it to do.

Is this what you wanted?

If can, please, someone from Autodesk to answer me,

why in Slot feature, when I define bi-directional milling, toolpath just work in one direction

and goes back in same level instead of go down for Z increment ant the back?

It's ok, I can go around with Groove like in @brian_p1 solution, but it doesn't make no sense.
