Machine Simulation: Tool-block for Z-oriented turning tool

Hi folks,

I'm having a problem in machine simulation with Z-oriented turning tools.
These tools use the tool holder for x-turning tools. Looks like this:

There is a Z-holder in the MD-file. I'm just not getting it how to make FC use this one instead.

This is one of the standard md-files that come along with FeatureCam (slant bed lathe.md). I'm just working with this one to get an idea about how things work. However, thanks for any hint to solve this.

Hi @Matthias.K,

Thanks for posting on Autodesk Forum.

I am not sure if I understood the question correctly. However,  the tool blocks for the particular tools can be selected or changed from Tool Mapping. Refer an image below and let me know if this does not answer your question.

Thank You.

Thanks, now I'm one step further. Smiley Happy

So there is no automatic detection this type of tools?

I'm doing this by "trial and error" so probably  I'll be back with another question soon.
