I am using a dell precision laptop to use Featurecam 2020.2, i have had issues with the graphics for a while now, when i zoom in on a area the screen skips so its takes a while to do things, zoom in close and the lines disappear, i run Creo and NX on the same laptop and i have no graphics issue at all, anybody else having issues?

The "fineness" in the display menu is set at 1, anything higher and holes are not round, just does not look good, hard to program when i am not sure what i am seeing.

I'm assuming you're using NVIDIA graphics?

I have seen reports similar to yours that used a space mouse so if that's the case, perhaps try:

Use a newer model of Space mouse / Update drivers to latest version

I did all the suggestions, no good still, i have used autocad for years and inventor, good software, hard to believe i am having these issues with Featurecam. I can open the same part in NX or Creo and make it dance on the screen, zoom in as far as i want no skipping, Featurecam is another story.

Just to confirm, are you using NVIDIA and are you using a space mouse?

Also, did these issues occur in 2020.1?

Hi
With the slopes of the graphics, I can not help you further.
Was already answered.
With the non-round holes maybe, just after zooming please refresh the view with Alt + R.
If that does not work, first deposit the key combination.
see the screenshot.
I hope it helps.
With best regards

hallo
siehe Screenshot.
Ich hoffe das hilft.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen

So just to confirm, this was just a "refresh" issue?

To me this is not a refresh issue, i shouldnt have to refresh the screen for the software to work correctly, i dont know how many times i have adjusted settings to fix this graphics issue. Autodesk is world class software i just expect it to work as good as their other software. When i open the part the holes are square or some other shape, then i refresh the screen and they are round, this shouldnt happen.

Hi

OK, there are a couple of things you can try, take a look at the image.

If these settings work for you, on the HOME tab hit SAVE NOW, which should retain these settings for other sessions.

Here's some information on the settings in the image:

Fineness

Graphics Hardware

I had the fineness set to 1 each to make the part resemble the part like round holes not square. when i do the screen refresh the holes are now round without changing the fineness settings?? I have tried the graphics setting too nothing worked consistantly like screen refresh, now remember i open the same part from the same source in NX and Creo and they both work excellent.

Hi

Unfortunately it seems there's no other options, it's not like you can set the model shading tolerance like you can with other softwares, refresh is a quick alternative.

Sorry I can't help further.

Kind Regards
