Fusion to PartMaker workflow

What's the suggested workflow for modelling in Fusion and programming in PartMaker?

Please don't say export a .step file as they're only surfaces not solids which limits what you can do with it in PartMaker.

It always makes me die that we have better import compatibility with the competitions models than we do with Autodesk's own products.

Why can't we import a .f3d from Fusion or a .psmodel from PowerShape like we can a solidworks or proe file?

Ugh, I hear you on the ability to bring in .f3d files.... a bit of a head-scratcher. I believe this is in with development.

I've always had great luck with the .ipt export option in Fusion. That being said, it does require a cloud-computed export and can take a while.

I've also used .dwg a fair amount as well. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that's a solid model format. Beyond that, .step (i know, ugh), .sat, and even every once in a while .iges (surfaces, I know) have worked for me in various scenarios.
