Yes, thats possible.

  1. create a curve of your thread geometry
  2. New Feature --> Turning --> Thread from path --> Select curve
  3. On the dimensions menue, select "custom" and if selected, deselect the option "thread path from curce"
  4. Select type "curve cross section"
  5. Now you can set the curve for your thread profile along with thread length and pitch

I tried it, but the tool is still small and cannot cut

I think its all about your tool. Try using another (bigger) nose diameter and also use a modified 3D-holder instead of the standard 3D-modell. Seems like the holder is causing also a colisions.

Additionally reduce the value for X and Z step.

I tried changing the bigger tool. toolpath the save.
I think FC can't do it
