Cut-off checker option for turning operations

XBUILD help describes this CUTOFF-CHK logical word as "TRUE if the Cut-off checker option is enabled in the Position the spindle sub-spindle transfer feature (available for Turn and Turn/Mill posts). Checks for lack of torque between spindles to check part has been cut into two pieces, before the sub-spindle is sent home. Avoids damage to jaws and part which would result if Cutoff process was incomplete and the sub-spindle went home."

Does this "Cut-off checker" option actually exist somewhere? I can't seem to locate it anywhere on the Cutoff properties pages. Hope it's just me not seeing it, it would be very handy to have the option of printing M80 only when required.

Thank you

yeah, interesting. one might think it's associated with a cutoff feature, but it's not.  it appears to be an option to a subspindle position "feature".   (A multiple-step, sortof long-hand way to cutoff and transfer would be to make N features (position SS "in", open/close various spindles, pull, cutoff, open/close various spindles, position SS "home")...  The option is available on that last one... The "convenient" feature (cutoff) does not seem to have that option (perhaps on purpose?)  Here is the SS position feature (location page)

Thank you Brian, I found it there but I hoped that I just couldn't find it in the cutoff feature. It would be really nice to have it there. I am using a workaround, placing ss_position feature with the cutoff check selected before the actual cutoff and using that to set a variable to output M80 in the actual cutoff operation, not very elegant but will have to do.

Thanks again
