Automatic update

Hi, Exist some way to update the features when I reimport a Solid model in FeatureCAM, actually I design with Solidworks and program with FeatureCAM but when I need to change something in my design I use Solidworks and when I open FeatureCAM again, FeatureCAM reimport the Solid model but all the features I have to manually update them. Exist some tool or process to uptade my features more fast?? Regards,

Hi @Anonymous,

When you update a solid model using an external CAD package, you can use the "Rerecognition Wizard" feature in FeatureCAM. This option is located in the "Construct..." menu, and will guide you through the process of re-creating, modifying or deleting the features in your document. First, import the new solid into the document, alongside the old solid model, and run the wizard. It will guide you through the selection of the old solid, the new solid and then follow the instructions provided to complete the wizard. Some feature might remain unchanged, some will require slight modification and some might require creating; all of which will depend on the scale of the changes that have been made to the original solid.
