How about FIXING the attribute problem that suddenly appeared with 2017?

I have been asking this for quite a while now on several forums, but if this is the place to communicate "directly with the Factory Design Utilities team", then I'll ask again here.

WHY was 2017 Inventor altered so that when Factory layouts are synced to AutoCAD, there are NO LONGER any attributes that can be edited with the standard Attribute editing tools?

Everything worked GREAT in 2016, then we updated to 2017 and it all went to hell.  If it's not broke, DON'T FIX IT!

Hi Matt, thank you for posting both here and on the Inventor forum. Our support team has tried reaching out to you and setting up a call, but, afaik, they haven't been successful. I am sorry this change has caused you problems. The change was made to allow FDU to be more data-centric, and to allow more more flexibility in the future . One of the benefits of being more data-centric is that in our 2018.1 release we were able to expose a CAD-agnostic API to manipulate Factory Design layouts: http://help.autodesk.com/view/FDU/2018/ENU/?guid=GUID-45CB93EA-B428-4D16-964A-3FA8EA4B2847#GUID-45CB... NO, this does NOT help.  I am not a programmer, that's why my company pays your company for software that works.  This problem is only getting worse for me and my entire company!!

I agree with Matt! We commonly sync to autocad for our customers requirements and need the standard editing tools for ease of functionality for us and our customers.
