Missing Factory Tab in AutoCAD Architectural 2018

I just upgraded my Factory Design software from 2017 to 2018 and when I open the new software, the Factory Tab is not loading in my AutoCAD Architecture 2018 software.  Is there a fix for this?

Hi Raul,

Thanks for asking and please pardon the delayed response!

Let's see if we can get it to show up through these steps:

  1. Type CUILOAD into the AutoCAD command line.
  2. Locate the FACTAPPLICATION in the list and Unload it.
  3. Browse for the FactApplication.cuix app and reload it again.

See the image attached for details.

Hopefully that does the trick! Please share, if that does not help.

Thanks,

Angela Cao

Thank you, very much, Angela!

That solved the problem for AutoCAD Architecture and when I opened AutoCAD Mechanical it automatically downloaded the Factory Design Tab as well!

It worked perfectly.

Hi...

I'm having a similar problem. When editing a reference or block all of the save changes, etc. don't appear. Right now the only option is to explode and recreate block. The FactApplication doesn't appear anywhere after following your sequence. Can you help?

Thanks,

Jacquie

Do you have Factory Utilities for AutoCAD installed (check in the Windows Control Panel)?

Hi Jacquie,

When you open the Control Panel, scroll down the list to make sure you have "Autodesk Factory Design Utilities for AutoCAD" installed.

Hi Angela !

Thanks for the response. It appears that I don't have that installed. Where
would I find it so I can install?

Thanks,

Jacquie Skeffington

Hi Jacquie,

If you have access to the Product Design Collection, you would install it from the Autodesk Desktop App.

Here are some resources to help you get started:

Thanks,

Angela

I have a similar problem. I just downloaded Factory Design Utilities 2024, I also downloaded Naviswork, Inventor, and AutoCAD version 2024. When I open inventor, the factory tab appears but when I open AutoCAD, the factory tab disappears. I have tried these steps but the FACTAPPLICATION option is not there.

I've tried to reinstall AutoCAD 2024 and Factory Design Utilities 2024 but it still doesn't appear. Is there a fix for this?
