Is There a Supported Workflow for Factory Design Utilities and Solidworks PDM?

Good morning!  I have a client who loves working with the Factory Design Utilities, but is now working at a company that is using Solidworks PDM as the data management solution.  Does anyone have any information on how well the FDU work within Solidworks PDM or what tricks they've used to make that workflow possible?  Please let me know any thoughts that you have, as I don't have access to Solidworks PDM at the moment, or at least it may be some time before I do.  Thanks in advance for any assistance, hope all is well, and have a most blessed day!

There is a Solidworks PDM add-in for Inventor.

Wondering if you or anyone else has experience testing this.
