Edited Landing surface floor constraint in Factory reverts value to 0

Hi all,

I have a question regarding factory design- when I create an asset with a landing surface, and place this in a factory layout, it receives the floor constraint if placed onto a floor:

as it should do, landing surface determines this. But if I edit this value, if for example I want to elevate the part 500 mm from the ground floor, like this:

It does elevate like I want it to, but if I move the part it or constrains it to some thing it resets to 0 again, how do I stop this from happening?

See attached video.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @JalarsenRV66Z,

Have you tied setting your landing plane using a key parameter in the factory properties?

This is our workflow and it works well 😃

So when defining the landing plane set the value to your <Parameter Value> and when defending the asset in your layout you can set it in the factory properties

HANG_HEIGHT is set by the user in the factory props

I hope I understood your question correctly and this helps you guys out 😀

Yes, the best way is to create an surface with a distance and the name Landing.

After you had created the parameter for the distance, you can set this to 0 before offering the asset to the library.

Now you can use this parameter everytime at your drawing to change the distance of your asset.
