right click open folder in windows

It would be nice to have to option to go straight to a part in windows when editing a service template. Can we add the option to right click the folder to "open folder in windows"? See attached image

Please can you explain the value of being able to do this?

It's way easier to organize & reorganize items in windows explorer.

There are times I want to duplicate an image from another part, then modify it. You can't do that from the Item selector. The best way is in windows explorer.

Right now the company is essentially just starting in Fabrication CADmep. We have multiple offices in other parts of the states that we are just getting on board. Once we get another office involved they want to do things just a little different... so it's created some problems.

If I can open in windows explorer quickly it saves clicks.

What we normally do is organize the items in the folder structure... delete the folders in the item selector... then fix services. I'm all ears for best practices or tools that are available that I don't know about.

Thanks!

If i'm editing a service... there's no way to search for an item. That's another reason I wanted to go straight to windows explorer.

Thanks, that helps us understand.

One workaround for you right now, right click on the folder name, select Properties and then you can copy and paste the path into explorer.

Re search, wouldnt a search feature in the service editor be better?

Also to fix services, check out the Path Repair tool, right click in the service background area, that might help you.

I (and i am sure many other people) know about all the work arounds and do support the prospect of a more robust search feature enhancements, but unless you guys are going to implement something along the lines of a CTRL+SHIFT+Right Click to bring up the standard windows context menu (not having open with access in any dialog showing me files is a giant pet peeve), I will always grudgingly do those processes to eventually open the image I am attempting to edit.... Being a (novice) programmer myself, I know how absolutely trivial fulfilling this request is; can we get this done already? This is like 15 minutes of some programmers day....
