I posted this as a comment in the other renumbering idea but since that one was marked "Implemented" I figured I would need to start a new one.
We're trying to make pre-fab hangers number the same during spooling, but because of seismic rod length differences, they do not. Even if everything else about the hanger is the same. It appears to be that stretching the rod is what throws it off and simply changing the length in the "Rod Length" dimension to x amount doesn't adjust the seismic lengths as well, even after an item.update() command is sent.
SHOWMETHEDIFFS comes back with front, back, left, right seismic rod lengths different so it throws off the numbering. Since it comes back with Dim76-Dim83 in the window for SHOWMETHEDIFFS, I tried writing a script that would adjust those but it just errors out no matter how I write it. Setting Seismic to NO still calculates out a rod length for some reason and it appears that that's been that way for a while. I think with a NO setting, those 8 dims should be blank, or zero but that's just what makes sense to me.
