I would like to propose the idea of adding a setting to our connectors which would govern if a connector is displayed in the dropdown selectors of the interface, dependent on the software application being used.
Our CAM operator has added many oddball connectors to our database over the years to fill orders that the field has sent into the shop. There are a lot of flange widths, hems, connectors with extensions, connectors with step-ins, etc. The shop needs these connectors in the system and I do not want to remove them.
Our detailers have to sift through a massive list of connectors to find what they want. They do not need to look through all of these connectors. It slows them down and I certainly do not want them to choose any of them.
I would like to be able to set a connector so that it does not show in the list for a Revit user, or an ESTmep user, while I want them all to be shown to the CAMduct user. There are even connectors we have set on Bought Out parts that I would love to be able to hide from the CAMduct user when he uses his keyboard to quickly cycle between connectors when he is inputting fittings.
