Hanger Specification

Hanger Specification

In Australia, duct / pipe hanger sizes (Rod & bearers) are determined from a specification = Half total duct perimeter. - AS4254 Table 2.6(A)

In USA SMACNA specification follows the same rules - Table 4-1

I am aware that TSI created a LS/SS breakpoint table to cover the range & hanger type to suit the spec.

Surely & I am very surprised if this has not been requested in the past, it would be far simpler to have a spec which simply calcs half perimeter of one end & then selects relevant hanger to suit the resulting length (breakpoint)

The LS/SS table is over complicated for the spec requirements.

It would also be handy to be able to apply seismic supports based on a spec when this is required on a project.
