We are just getting into using CADmep to produce spool pieces for our jobs. That said, we are trying to figure out the best work flow. I am posting the two methods we came up with so hopefully someone with experience can tell me where we need to optimize. Generally, we are capturing mechanical rooms with a scan (point cloud):
1. Recap-->Revit-->draw the pipe and duct system using Revit's standard tools --> convert to CADmep -->Publish Spool drawings.
2. Recap --> Revit --> draw pipe and duct using the Fabricate CadMep database --> Export to CADmep -->Publish Spool drawings.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
