Surfacebook, Windows 10 and Autodesk products

Hello

I have a couple of questions about the surfacebook and windows 10 and their compatability with AutoCAD, Revit and Navis.

While everything I have read tells me, for a mobile solution, the top end Surfacebook should run the above reasonably well, my question is does anyone know if Microsoft support the downgradeto Windows 7 to allow these products to run as they should?

Windows 10, for now, is not supported by Autodesk. Any idea when this may happen?

Thanks

Pan

The issue is going to be drivers and if the Win 7 will work with the Surfacebook.  I know people of have downgraded a Win 8 machine to Win 7 and that didn't go as planned (lots of driver issues).  It appears there are several people over at the other forum that are running Win 10 with no problems.

I am also looking at getting a Surfacebook in the next week or so.  I am going to run it in Windows 10 though.

I am not overly pleased with the performance with this software presently.
I will be keen to know your views when you get yours

Which one did you get (HDD and RAM)?  I have been looking at the 512 gb/16 GB ram.  It also has the NVIDIA graphics card (seems like the cheaper ones don't have this though).

Oh, that is the one I was interested in getting.  Hmmm, I may need to go elsewhere then.

From what I am hearing, it is a win 10 thing. Autodesk has not yet come out and supported all the software for windows 10 so service packs. hopefully will fix the issue.

All the prior research I carried out showed this would be more than adequate. The service pro 3 runs all of the software noted below easily so the surface book SHOULD do so without problem

I hope it is this and not that I have got a dud machine....

That makes sense. I was thinking it shold be fine as well.  AutoCAD is also listed in the comparison chart for the different MS Surface tablets.

Thank you.

Is it crashing or just slow?  I can handle slow until they make it work in Win 10.

Looks like I am not going to be needing that new laptop now.  Bummed.  Keep us posted if you get the performance up though.
