Setting Variable Dimensions to Custom Solids/Geometry

I'm working on a project that needs to fabricate a significant number of novel pipe supports in the field. The supports are geometrically very, very different from standard supports, including the standard patterns in CADmep database.

I am able to model these parts in multiple Autodesk product. I am able to import them, convert them to solids, set up connections and snap points and save to project folder in CADmep. But I cannot figure out for the life of me how to set parametric dimensions that would enable me to build product lists. My imported solids have no editable dimensions, and I cannot figure out a way to define them. What I want to do is set up a series of dimensional parameters the same way I would do it in other CAD software, that would allow me to change the geometry by inputting a different value for a dimension. I would then use these to set up a Product List in CADmep.

I've been browsing obscure documentation pages, forums, videos, etc. for days and this is one bit of info I am unable to figure out. I hope the answer is not that this is not possible to do. I don't mind doing any work that is required to make this work, I just cannot find the documentation for it. Does anyone know the way to pull this off?
