Save objects so object enabler isnt required

Hi

I know that there is a way of saving ductwork items to a drawing so that a third party can view them without the need of object enabler.

I have been shown this previuosly when the product was taken over by autocad but i believe through updates thati have reverted back to defualt settings as a client asked yesterday where the ductwork was?

I know that the files get larger by doing this but our clients dont need to download the object enablers.

Regards

Dave

Export it as IFC to maintain the 3D - ifce

Convert it to 2D - create2d

No need to export There is a tick box to maintain the objects within the drawing, Nick from MAP told me where it was just after autocad took over and I still had access to them by phone. But can I remember ?? No. had a look through but as usual these problems occur when your rushed off your feet, so cant spend time looking for it.

Are you talking about "Save Graphic with Drawing?"

That is under Database>Takeoff>CAD Settings>General

Yes spotted that and it sounds about right but from what my client has said that the ductwork drawing isn't being shown. ? I'll try to send to someone else and see if they can see them.
Thank you

That is the check box you need. It will save the proxy graphics with the drawing file so people can see the objects (nothing smart about them though) without the enablers loaded. The files will be approxmately twice the size.

It would be so much easier if the client just installed the OE
