Flange Connectors...

So I got services where I have flanges set for 150# RF Flange, and have a flanged valve set the same way and they work like a charm. (Carbon Steel service)

I am trying to create an HDPE service, and wanted to utilize the same flanged valves. So I make sure all my gaskets and bolts and everything are re-used in this service, plus make sure the HDPE flanged Adapter has the same connection on the flange side as my Carbon Steel Flange does. It keeps telling me I'm using incompatible connectors. Seems like there's something I'm missing here.

I even copied the ITMs over to my HDPE folder, so I can modify the ITMs to be HDPE material and everything else, but something is keeping these from being compatible.

I mean, in reality, I should be able to re-use the same valve (ITM) in both services.

I created a completely blank Service, with a completely blank template, downloaded all the HDPE IPS content into said service. I wanted to see what was included totally, by default.

I added the valve to the service, and it actually connected. It even worked so well as to if I tossed the valve onto the end of a pipe it would add the Flanged Adapter....

However.... I get this.... There's a gap between the face of the valve and face of the flange. Not sure what gives with that. Any ideas?

Found it, I needed to duplicate the Gate Valve ITM for use with the HDPE Service, and had to set the connections to be "Lapped" flange 150#.... voila...

It's probably doing this to simulate a gasket in between the two flanges. In your connector setting you can modify the snap offset to be on the face of the flange. You'll have to add in a gasket on your palate which is set to the female version of the flange.
