Custom Item Data and ChangeObject(2)Properties (MPROP)

I am unable to add or query custom data when selecting multiple items using the ChangeObjects(s)Properties button MPPROP command.

No data will show up in the custom fields and when I add data it is not written to the objects.

I am using 2016 Fab CADMEP SP5 and 2017 Fab CADMEP SP1.

Which version of multiple item properties are you using? Is it set to local or global?

Image 1 is a local configuration

Image 2 is a global configuration

Both should work just fine when configured properly, the only difference that should exist between them is who is controlling the MPPROP available options; users vs admins.

Thanks for the info.  We primarily use 2016 CADMEP at the moment.  The local / global setting doesn't exist in the 2016 version.

To be clearer the fields I wish to see do show up in the MPROP dialog.  They are showing up blank with no data in them when multiple items are selected.

Autodesk opened a ticket based off my first post.  I think they are looking into it.

Thanks again

Out of curiosity, do the items selected have a different value in the field you are looking at? This will cause the field to show blank in MPROP.

The first screenshot below shows multiple items selected with the same value in the Line Number custom data field. The second, shows changing the value on one of the parts from 5206011 to 5206012, and the third shows the Line Number custom data field as blank in MPROP. The value is not blank on each of the parts, it is simply not the same between the parts that are selected.
