assign an image for button script

Is there a way to assign an image to a button script? If not can this be something for future development? Currently the image is the first item in the button. I would like to organize my buttons so that I can keep the script with the appropriate tab it is applied to. For instance; I created a script when weldbend transitions to propress. I have the same template with a soldered tab. So I would like a script in the soldered tab. When I make a job specific service I remove the frivolous tabs. That way I don't have a 1000 templates to keep track of.

Ouch. I wonder if you cataloged your part and had all those sizes in the catalog if you would only need one button for that Y. I'm not sure how you built those.

See below where I have a button script. The image in the service takes on the first part. I don't want to create a bunch of dummy parts just for an image.

This is what this button looks like in the service:

I would like it if there were an option in the above dialog box to point the button script to an image of my choosing. Maybe like this:

Agreed, as well a "labeling field" of some sort. I originally did have multiple items under the same button but we felt it was optimal to have information laid out for visual controls. But yes alot of copy and pasting was involved.

I might be lost in what you're asking, but are you looking for something like this?

Nailed it. But is there a way to assign that image to a button script? I understand that you can with an assembly, because you save the assembly as an ITM. But what about a button script?

Yeah, the picture above is a button script I made, not an assembly. Right click on the button you want, and select "set Icon" this should take you to the images folder and you can select the image you want to assign to it from there.

YES! that's it. You get different options when you are in the "edit service database" mode, verses just right clicking the button straight from the service palette.

Thank you!

I don't know how to close this item. You answered it for me.

No problem... probably should have mentioned that it needed to be done from the "edit service database" haha sorry about that!
