I was trying to download AutoCAD as a student, but was prompted with a message telling me that there was a problem with my verification. The message reads:
"Something is not quite right
We were unable to verify your eligibility to access Autodesk Education benefits. Please try again or proceed to verify by uploading a copy of documentation issued to you by your educational institution as proof that you are enrolled or employed at a Qualified Educational Institution."
I have documents for verification, but the link does not go anywhere. I am almost certain that I was verified as a student earlier this year, and was not expecting to run into this problem at all. How might I get around this?

I'm having the same problem. When I am in the verification page, I can't press the buttom verify. Nothing happen, I tried on different devices, browsers, unblocking pop-ups..nothing happen. My connection works well. And I really need to solve the problem as soon as possible because I have class with one of this program.

Hi, I have the same problem with student verification. I have been using Maya or 3DsMax just fine the past few years! Now there is this massive bump in the road, blocking me from actually working on my education. I send my student card as means of verification, it was declined (twice already) due to missing first name. The only thing I can come up with is that this is the issue because my last name is stated before my first on this document.. Any experience with this? And can this be fixed by manually changing my name in autodesk account settings?

I have sent a message to SheerId with al the information, and after two weeks, without any notice I was able to reregister the elegibility at Autodesk. I changed my name in the Autodesk account to my legal name first.
So eventually it works, but communication from SheerID is none whatsoever. Be sure you mention in your answer to the ticket from SheerID that it is a problem concerning an Autodesk registration, because SheerID is a third party, not an Autodesk service!

Anyway, I'm having the same, or a similar, issue. On the download page I am signed into my Autodesk account, but the website is telling me that I should sign in or make an account. I also can not go to the specific pages of any of the applications.
The cherry on top though is that I can't get into contact with Autodesk, or SheerID for that matter (Unexpected Error), so I'm stuck scraping the forums to see if there is any fix.
Any help would be really cool and greatly appreciated.

Have you tried logging in using the 'Sign In' button you highlighted - I agree it's annoying but at least software is still downloadable and you don't need to go there very often...
As for the educational product pages - they've also gone, software requests are now all handled through clicking Get Product on the product tile once logged in.
As for reaching out to Autodesk - Educational Support is the area to go to https://www.autodesk.com/education/support although you just need to be persistent.

My issue is now solved. The only fix that worked was making an entire new account and verifying through that. Wish this wasn't an issue that could happen but of well.

It seems completely impossible to pass the new verification system for educational access. I've uploaded several different documents, and even get "Your first name is missing" while it is really clearly stated in the documents. Is this an automated system? Does it need a specific syntax? Are still intelligent people involved in reading my verification document? This is really frustrating. Please solve this.

NYS has a new "ed-law 2-D" which forbids me from giving ANY student data to Autodesk. I cant be uploading names, data etc. Guess I am just out of luck. I am so beyond furious with this, I worked in engineering and worshipped Autodesk products, now I teach and its been absolute garbage. I am struggling through COVID and want one thing to go right and this has been an absolute nightmare.

It's probably not the best idea to share your ID on a public forum - I will ask the moderator to remove them.
Otherwise, from one of the documents I see a Graduation certificate which means unless you are continuing education you would not be eligible for the education licenses.
Beyond that, are there any other problems I can help you with?

I sent in the documents and it said received but i got no feedback. My 3 chances were up and it said my first name was missing but it was on my ID I sent in

In the end, it took me 14 days and 17 e-mail to Autodesk and SheerID to get verified. I had to be really persistent.
