Hello Everyone,
First things first welcome to the new Autodesk EAGLE forums! It has been a wild journey since Cadsoft joined the Autodesk family back in June 2016, and we’re excited to finally settle into our new home. To kick things off, we wanted to put together a thread of basic information for everyone getting started with Autodesk EAGLE.
New Release
We released version 8.0 of EAGLE this month (January 2016), which contains some great new features for schematic editing, PCB layout, and design reuse:
There’s a lot more in this release. Be sure to check out the official Autodesk EAGLE release notes for all the details.
Where to Get Support
There’s a ton of options for getting your questions answered. You can start here on the forums to connect with one of the Autodesk EAGLE Support Specialists. There is also:
Where to Find Stuff
If you’re an existing EAGLE user then you might be searching for documentation, ULPs, etc.. that were all on the old cadsoft.io website. Here’s where they can be found on the new Autodesk EAGLE website:
New EAGLE Licensing
As many of you have seen by now, we’ve rolled out a new licensing model for Autodesk EAGLE with a simple monthly or annual subscription. There are several points we’d like to clarify about this new subscription model:
The Future of EAGLE
This is an incredibly exciting time for the future of EAGLE, and we can’t wait to hear your thoughts on all the new features we plan to add in the future. Here is what we are working on now:
We Want Your Feedback
We’re always looking for feedback on the changes that we’re making to Autodesk EAGLE. Please feel free to start a discussion on the forums here to get a conversation going. We’re reading all of it, and want to make Autodesk EAGLE the best PCB design tool of choice for every engineer.
Thank you for reading,

Hi!
I have a question about your product, you know, the Eagle is full with bugging codes,
but Autodesk sell that buggy program. Sometimes it is so hard to work around a simple task does it
is almost on the edge of the nerves of the users.
That's really frustrating.
So, my questions here:
1. If I will buy the most advanced license of Eagle, will I get a fully functionally app or an app just
under development?
2. If I buy the mentioned license, and I figure out does the app doesn't meet what is promoted and sold to me,
what's are my right's?
Will Autodesk pay back the money I paid for the app and will Autodesk pay my time I spent trying to use the app?
3. If Autodesk sell a bugging software, why should we, the users share with Autodesk our time to find bugs and release it on the forum for free? Autodesk should pay to as if we found a relevant bug or if we give suggestions for
some improvement in their software.
Is there no Autodesk bug testers?
My best regards.
Hi adziccnk,
We greatly appreciate your participation on the forum.
1. If I will buy the most advanced license of Eagle, will I get a fully functionally app or an app just
under development?
A.EAGLE does have a free version available for evaluation. This is the same version used after purchasing a subscription, the only difference is in the board size limits, number of layers and number of schematic sheets allowed per design. Updates to Autodesk EAGLE are frequent, new tools are added and reported or discovered issues are repaired.
2. If I buy the mentioned license, and I figure out does the app doesn't meet what is promoted and sold to me, what's are my right's?
A. We offer the free version of EAGLE for evaluation, after purchasing a subscription, you have 30 days to request a refund.
3.If Autodesk sell a bugging software, why should we, the users share with Autodesk our time to find bugs and release it on the forum for free? Autodesk should pay to as if we found a relevant bug or if we give suggestions for some improvement in their software. Is there no Autodesk bug testers?
A. The Autodesk team does have an extensive QA team which performs extensive test to EAGLE, and many new test are added as EAGLE continues to adopt new features. We greatly appreciate the time users take to inform us of any issues or provide us their suggestions since this results in better product and experience for everyone.

Edwin

Jay,
In response to your PDF, see the answers Rob and myself have just put on your other post. The reason it is "greyed out" is because you have read it, whereas the other posts in the list which are showing as bold are unread. Your post will show bold too now as there are two more replies at the moment.
You will get plenty of support when you need it, and whether or not you go for 4 layers with a updated license. I can understand you are possibly frustrated because you were stuck and couldn't work out what the problem was, we've all been there, but you didn't give people very much time to respond before you started complaining that you weren't getting support. In this case the answer is actually quite simple and covered in the documentation for EAGLE as well as numerous tutorials.
Best Regards,
Rachael
Hi All
I just wanted to share how happy I am since we moved from Eagle to Altium Designer,
Finally we are going pro and don't have to waste time on rubbish Eagle and losers who support it,
Long live the king!
Best
