Upgrade free version to Premium version without re-install?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I used to have the education version that automatically downgraded to the free non-commercial use license after a certain time. I now want to get a monthly plan to start testing the Premium version. This currently apparently is getting a license for Fusion360 and you get Eagle Premium with it. However, I don't want to uninstall my current version because everything is set up nicely such as customizations, libraries, etc. I don't see an "upgrade" menu in my current Eagle Control Panel (v9.6.2 Free), and this license doesn't show up in my online account (under "All Products and Services").

Question: how can I pay for Fusion360 and Eagle Premium but use the license "key"? to simply keep using my currently installed Eagle. I might download and install Fusion360 later but for now I'm not interested in that as I'm using SolidWorks currently and don't want to change that.

Thanks!

You don't have to reinstall or even "upgrade" the software. All you need to do is get the subscription, which is associated with your Autodesk account, then make sure you're logged in with that account. There may be a delay (surprisingly long, sometimes) while the entitlement filters through the system, but once set up online, your existing Eagle install will recognise it on login and "become" a premium version.
