Route wire both at top and bottom layer at the same time?

To double the current handling capacity, I want to run the route at both top and bottom layers.

The solution used to be :

To start routing without an "unrouted wire", enter "route", keep the the Ctrl-button pressed and click on a pin, pad, via or trace.

However this solution no longer work in eagle 9.6.2 . Does anyone know the new way to do it? Thanks in advance.

In what way does it "no longer work"? If you mean that Eagle now deletes the original route, then you can turn that off. Look up "Loop removal".

I have already tried [SET LOOP_REMOVAL OFF ] . But when i plan the route only the main route show up on the current layer. If i misunderstood your instruction, please comment. Thank you.
