Would this update apply only to the version of EAGLE inside Fusion 360 (I'm guessing that is what is meant by Fusion 360 Electronics) or would it also be pushed to the standalone version of EAGLE?  Our mechanical engineers use Solidworks, therefore there is no reason for us to use Fusion 360 or Fusion 360 electronics.  Also, currently Fusion 360 electronics seems to run a lot slower and does not seem to support local editing and storage of .brd and .sch files (having the option to export your PCB design to offline files is different from directly manipulating the offline files without the Autodesk cloud ever being involved).

I hope you're doing well. This is unlikely to be ported back to desktop EAGLE if and when it's developed.  That would be my guess.

The issues you mentioned with Fusion 360 Electronics performance are being addressed and should be resolved in the near term. As far as avoiding the cloud infrastructure Fusion 360 is built on, that also seems unlikely, however we recognize that there needs to be some sort of solution for those who need to be off the cloud.

This is a definite thing that needs to happen. Subscription-only software that's reliant on a remote licensing server is bad enough. Mandatory cloud storage for the data as well? That's non-negotiable deal-killer for a number of customers.

Would be nice if you'd done the same thing for EAGLE, before completely destroying a perfectly fine tool.
