Pricing in Europe

So I had a look at the Autodesk store and am automatically redirected to the store for Europe.

It has already been pointed out that the price for the monthly premium subscription in Europe is not $65, but €70 (USD 74.89 = 15% rise in cost). But to me it is also unclear what this price includes:

On the subscription page, it says this price is without VAT. On the legal page it says it is with VAT. So what is it?

(Note that prices for products/services targeted at consumers in the EU (as opposed to businesses) the shown price always has to include VAT. As these subscriptions are also meant for makers and students, they are clearly targeted at consumers).

Second question about the 30 day money back guarantee: What are the exact terms for it? Or can I purchase a monthly subscription, cancel it after 29 days and get my money back?

Hello Chris,

I hope you're doing well. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I've contacted the European E-store and I'm waiting for some clarification as to what is going on. Once I have some info I'll post again. If you don't see any other response in the next 3 days please reach out again.

As far as the returns go. I think you'll find the information you need here:
http://help.autodesk.com/view/STORE/ENU/?guid=GUID-0D758126-DBBC-4489-8DBF-924977E9DC94#returns-and-...

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hi Chris,

Got some further clarification. It's a little confusing though. Basically the price your first see(the one in the picture) does not include VAT. If you proceed with the order and click subscribe online, the price will change showing and estimated VAT. It is not until you actually enter your shipto address that you will see what the real VAT is. (From what I was told VAT is typically around 20%, however there are counties like Switzerland where VAT is only 8%).

So the short and skinny is that only once you enter your shipping address will you really see what the price is including VAT.

Now I also tried to get clarification as far as the origin of the price difference. Originally I though that the VAT had something to do with it. However, I have been informed that is not the case. I was told that prices are adjusted according to market conditions.

I have asked for more clarification on that and will respond once I have something to report.

Thank you very much Jorge, although the answer about pricing is not what I hoped for. I also hope they at least fix the wrong/ambiguous pages.

Jorge,

did you get any further clarification yet?

I'm still curious, although I have decided for myself to keep using Eagle 7.7 as long as I can, and then re-evaluate all options. Eagle will only be in the boat if it has some exciting new features at the time (and I mean real usable features, not something half-assed like the current design block implementation).

I also tried to look if something changed on the subscription pricing in Europe, but I cant: http://eagle.autodesk.com takes me directly to Fusion360; https://eagle.autodesk.com complains about a wrong security certificate. And clicking on "Eagle Premium" on http://www.autodesk.eu/store/all-products takes me directly to the pricing for Flame (yuck).

All this does not really raise the trust in Autodesk's intentions with Eagle.

Hi @hudriwudri,

What I was told to do was to direct our customers with pricing questions here.

It turns out pricing is handled by a different team at Autodesk, so any questions regarding international pricing needs to go through them. That's all the information I have regarding the price differences our international users are seeing.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
