Non-circular through hole parts

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello everyone,

I am trying to create the ZX80-B-5P_30 part following this datasheet provided by Digikey: https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/hirose-electric-co-ltd/ZX80-B-5P-30/H125262-ND/5994728.

I do not know if this is the best way to create non-circular through hole parts, I found this method suggested by Eagle and tried to do it just like that. I am attaching the library. Any suggestion or idea would be really appreciated.

Hi Chris,

You are to be commended, you did a great job. I didn't verify every measurement but it looks very good. Your milling layer features have been made correctly.

Once you go to manufacture the board make sure to export the milling layer as it's own gerber and let the board house know that those features need to be milled from the board.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
