moving components not possible

Hi, I am new with Eagle and have a problem:
I made a circuit diagram with all components on positive coordinates.
When I swich to the Layout editor all components are located on negative coordinates.
When I try to move them to positive coordinates I get an error message that Eagle cannot perform the action because some components are outside the layout area.

I guess that the reason for the error are the negative coordinates.
But how can I move them to positive ones?

Hi nikodemus6L9WE,

is assume that you are working with the Free edition of EAGLE? There is a limit for the board area.

In the beginning all components are placed left of the coordinates origin. Yo have to move the components into the

positive range. Maybe it helps in the beginning to draw a board frame in layer 20, Dimensions lets say in the size of

100mm x 80mm. Try to place the components inside this frame. Does this work?

Thank you,

this works. But it is very confusing because all components and nets are scrambeled.

But it is  method to work onSmiley Frustrated
