Max board size Premium 7.7

Howdy, Y'all:

I have been using 7.7 Pro for a while now.  Current project is the first one to need more than 6x4".  I thought Pro allowed much larger board area than 24"sq but I cannot get effective size above 6x4.  Am I stuck or is there a setting to allow this?

Thanks!

Rene

Hi @3rj,

I hope you're doing well. Assuming you have a licensed premium version then you should have unlimited board size. When you log in to EAGLE go to Help > About EAGLE and confirm what type of entitlement you have. It sounds like you have a standard version of EAGLE.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Thank You Jorge:

Here is a screen shot of what I have.  As far as I can tell, it says
Premium Edition.  What is the problem then?  Do you need my license number?

Hi @3rj ,

I hope you're doing well. If you are willing to post your full serial number it would confirm what I'm thinking but I'm pretty confident I know what happened.

There was a time where the different tiers were renamed. Standard became Premium and the commercial Pro became Ultimate.  This created some confusion obviously because at one point Pro was also called premium.

So with all that said, I think you have what was originally called Standard. The serial number will confirm it because we never changed the codes for the different license types.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

What part of the license lets me know if I have Standard or Premium?  I believe I sent Jorge my full license via email but the posted response does not tell me anything definitive.

If I do not have what is now called Premium, how do I upgrade to today's premium, without losing my non subscription license?

Thanks,

Rene

Hello Rene,

I hope you're doing well. I didn't receive your serial number or an email from you. If you want you can send it to me through a direct message.

The key thing is to look at the end of the serial number if you see a 1CS or 1ES  then that means you have a standard license and you will be limited to 6 x 4 inches.

It's not possible to upgrade to a non-sub premium license. If you wanted larger boards today you would have to get on subscription. You'll always have your 7.7 license, that one is yours and doesn't require any further payment.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hello, Jorge:

Thank you for your reply.

I am trying to PM you but the system keeps flagging an HTML error, saying to correct the highlighted error but there is nothing highlighted.  Very frustrating!  Overall this is not a very user friendly site, at least not without some tutoring.

Can you please email me again with a better way to reply to you?

Thanks,

Rene
