Lowercase or Underline for Pin Name in schematic Editor

I am trying to make a schematic for a cable. Some of the pins I need to represent are lower case letters. The only special command I can find is the exclamation point before the name giving it a negating line over the name. Is there any way to make the text for the name lower case or at least underlined?

Hello @adamstone5QXUE,

I hope you're doing well. Unfortunately this is not possible. You can work around it by setting the visible attribute of the pin to be pad and then just add text manually with the parameters you want. There is no provision for underlining so you would have to manually draw a line under that text to get the effect.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I am a veteran PCB designer. Today I had a try at Eagle. Net names are UPPER CASE by default. This is a bit uneasy to me. In our designs we have a common name starting form Schematic, to FPGA/Micro Controller firmware all the way to the PC application.

Allowing flexibility in naming the Nets, Pin would be a desirable feature. At least the C syntax for variable naming should be allowed.
