Library.io Step File Import missing

Hello Eagle Team,

did you removed the step file import on library.io?

I have managed libraries with "missing 3D model" alerts but the editor has no import button anymore.

Last week I added a lot of step models to my packages. Today I can not proceed that work.

Thank you for an explanation.

Best regards

Richard

Hello rg944,

maybe you try to edit a local 3D package or a not managed library? The buttons are all there, if you are working with a managed library and 3D packages created by the package generator or models added from the web (library.io).

Hi @rg944,

I hope you're doing well. The library.io is essentially read only now, all of the mapping needs to be initiated by EAGLE now. See this video for how the workflow is now:

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this.

Hello Jorge,

I am fine, thank you.

I just figured out what the issue was. I simply wanted a jumper with 3D modell, since the maintained Eagle library "jumper.lbr" has only the default 3D box.

So I copied one device from this library in a new managed library, like it is mentioned in the video you linked. But in this way I also copied the already existing default 3D box (or their reference) and this box is read only.

My workaround was now. Copy symbol and package separetly, then create a device, make it a managed library, then I my own editable default 3D Box. And now I have my "Upload Step" button back.

Best regards

Richard
