Imported adafruit board and missing Libraries

Hello all,

For a prototype datalogger I'm currently designing I wanted to work with store bought modules directly soldered on an interface pcb. I'm working in parallel with Fusion 360 to check the clearance in the casing and for that purpose I wanted to modelise the Adafruit MicroSD breakout board I plan to use.

Adafruit supply all the schematics and board layout, this is great. However, to have the 3D view of all the components in F360 I need to add them first in the component library. And here is my problem, as this board was directly imported no components on this board match to ones in my library.

I don't mind adding every single component and 3D views in the library, my question is how I can match those added components to the ones on the schematic without having to destroy everything. ^^

Thank you all for the help.

Hello @gaillard_alexander,

I hope you're doing well. The best thing to do here is to extract the libraries from the design and then work on those. You can do it by clicking on the Library sub menu and then select the the Export Libraries command. That will recreate the design libs and you can add 3D models to those. Then you can update the design to use the exported libs.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
