How to set the isolate for the hole ?

Hello, I'm drawing the package for a switch, it has two plastic cylinder use to location, so I place two hole for it. but when I place this package into my board, It give a big isolate around its hole. I know how to reduce it, but It can only adjust with dimension of board together.

I think it's better to separate the isolation of hole and board dimension, and give every hole a different isolation.

Hi @huayuliang,

I hope you're doing well. Holes are cutouts from the board just like your board edge is cutout from a larger piece of FR4(typically). That's why holes share the copper/dimension parameter with the outline of your board.

EAGLE's default DRC is very conservative, setting the Copper/Dimension Distance to 40 mils. Most board houses can handle half of that no problem. Confirm with your manufacturer what their capabilities are and adjust this value accordingly.

Thank you for your suggestion.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
