How to produce drill file for single layer PCB?

Hello,

When I define my PCB as 1 layer in DRC settings, the drill file is not produced for any non-plated holes that I've defined on the board. When I change the DRC settings to 2 layer, then the drill files is created for the non-plated holes. I'm using the layer setup in DRC as "1" for the single layer board, which produces no via pairs (as I'd expect for a single layer board). I see that the CAM template for a single layer board does define the drill file template, but since there is only a "FROM" layer and not a "TO" layer then I'm guessing that this is causing my issue.

Am I defining the DRC settings properly for a single layer board? If so, then how do I create the drill file for a single layer board?

Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous,

I hope you're doing well. When doing a single layer board you should stick with the two layer DRC setup. All you have to do is route on one layer. If you leave it in the 2 layer config everything will work as it should.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
