Hi,
I tried everything but cant find a way. My board and schematic development are done. Some of the names on the pcb board got deleted. I can see if I search for attributes in the design manager.
But Can't add the name through the design manager. Can't click on the components on the board to add name (can't find where to click as the center parts don't have the usual + sign for the compnent). Can't even replace the parts on the board as the + sign doesn't appear. If I change the part in the schematic, I still see no name.
This is very frustrating. Please let me know what I could do???

You probably just need to "Reposition Attributes" on them (the command formerly known as "unsmash").
Inability to "click on" parts is normally because you've deselected the necessary item in the selection filter.

I have tried the reposition attribute as well. It doesn’t work.
the inability to select is not because of filter I think since some parts can be selected and some cannot.
the little + sign to select doesn’t appear at all for certain parts. (All the parts were made in a personalized library)

All the layers and all the device types are selected in the filter, I even tried the reset for layers

hi,
usually when the '+' is missing in board view it is because the layer torigin ot borigin is off (t for top, b for bottom).
Try typing
display none torigin borigin
in the command line. you should now see nothing but the origins.
if that works now type
display last
you should see whatever layers were on before. if the '+' disappeared its because you don't have the origin layers on.
let me know the results of that test...
