For some time, the Control Panel opened with an annoying animation on the right side, and I didn't find any proper way of always hiding it. So if anyone else is looking, here's the only way I know of to get rid of it:
Go to C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Eagle\start-page\
Rename or delete "index.html."
(Or if you're at all handy with HTML, edit the file to your liking.)
Your Home panel will now be a much simpler page without the animated/advertising content.
