How do I link schematic and PCB file in eagle

Hello,

I have a pcb and schematic exported from fusion to eagle format sch and brd files. Eagle opens them fine.

When I open both I get a warning saying annotation is disabled. I cannot locate how to get the two files to associate or link together. Searching the web was surprisingly fruitless..

Thanks!

If you import everything Eagle can't possibly sync it. The normal way is the schematic is created first and then the board after and things can be checked across both files. If the Fusion project was done to proper standards then everything should sync. If you didn't create the Fusion project maybe it might be better to ask whoever did it for the source Eagle files. Otherwise run the ERC (top menu, Tools > ERC) and it will give you a list of errors. Then modify either the board or schematic until the symbol, footprints and wiring match on both.

Hi @thomas_wrightTLY4L,

I hope you're doing well. Make sure that the name of the schematic and the board is the same. When you export from Fusion the filenames will carry versions numbers which EAGLE doesn't like. To link the files for EAGLE they have to have the exact same name and they need to be in the same folder.

Let me know if you continue to run into problems.
