How best to display part values on schematic

Hi.  I'm using the SamacSys Library Loader through Mouser quite often and I often find that the manufacturer part number exists in the Value field, which I often need when searching for and replacing parts and such.  The name field is of course devoted to the part code Rx, Cx, Mx, Qx, etc.  But having the values of resistors, capacitors, etc. would be helpful to see displayed in the schematic when actually designing circuits.  With those two fields taken, can anyone advise as to how best to go about that?  Thanks.

I would ignore any arbitrary decisions that SamacSys made and use the Value field for its intended purpose. For a lot of ICs, this will be the manufacturer part number, or a subset of it. For resistors and capacitors it's the value.

If you want to tag a specific manufacturer part number on a part, add a user-defined attribute. Call it "MANU_PART" or similar. That's up to you and governed only by the BoM export method you use.
