Having issues adding an image to my board design

I've been working on a business card board design & just recently got my logo designed and want to add it to design before I send off to fabrication.

And I'm having some difficulty finding a way out how to import my logo in as image onto my circuit board design.
I've noticed browsing online there are 2 options: Bitmap & SVG to Poly.

1) I've tried bitmap and it states that the logo exceeds the colour range of the bitmap import, so that's out of the question.

2) I've tried the ULP SVGtoPoly and have tried importing the logo as a plain svg, however I'm either met with a messed up logo or a blank space.

So now I've turned to here, to try and find out if there is a better solution out there.

Hi marcbrooks991

I would advise going with this option, it always works perfect on my boards.

1) I've tried bitmap and it states that the logo exceeds the color range of the bitmap import, so that's out of the question.

I don't know if you are on a mac or pc, I will give my advice based on a mac because that's what I use, there is a software for mac called "Toy Viewer" this software readily converts your image in any format to a very small bitmap that Eagle is able to use, also when prompted to select the color just choose either plain white or black based on the outcome you expect (if you share the logo I could offer further guidance), the ratio is also keen id your logo is quite huge, use a ratio that halves your image or a suitable on at times trial and error helps here, also keep everything in mills.

If you have further challenges please post them here for further guidance thanks

Hi @skndungu75TT4N3,

I'll give a go on bitmap then, I use PC not Mac but I'm familiar with Toy viewer.
I'm afraid I can't share the logo as its for my business and it hasn't been trademarked as of yet.

Hi @marcbrooks991 ,

To import your bitmap properly it has to be grayscale.  If not, you will get the colour range error.

Open your image in GIMP and convert to Grayscale (preferably black on white) and save it as a bitmap. Or you can open it in paint and save it as monochrome bmp.

Import on your desired layer (I use layer 21) and import the 'black' only.

Hope this helps.
