Forum Organization

I think it would be a good idea to implement some form of forum organization before it gets too big. This forum is relatively new since the acquisition and this is the perfect time to get things organized.

I think the forum should be split into multiple sections for ease of navigation and management.

Here is a list of what I think would be helpful.

Layout/General forum topics: This could include off topic subjects, layout techniques, component or module discussions, etc.

    ∟ PCB technology

    ∟ Fab discussion

    ∟ Components / Modules

EAGLE Bugs / troubleshooting: This would be where bugs or installation issues could be reported. Sub topics should separate versions.

    ∟ Installation troubleshooting

        ∟Separate OS listings

    ∟ Bug reports / status

        ∟Separate OS listings

EAGLE Suggestions / Feature request: Split feature requests into sub topics regarding what area of program would be affected.

    ∟ UI Improvements

    ∟ Tool Improvements / behavior

    ∟ ULP / Scripts / Command

    ∟ New features

This is a quick example, but I think some organization would really help the forum become a go-to for information and would also allow Autodesk to have a good link to the customers base.

Hi Cameron,

Thanks for your participation. Totally agree that the forum needs to be split up into sections. I don't think we would break it down as deep as your suggesting, however I could see it split up into two or three main sections. For my tastes it would be enough to have:

-General

-Bugs

-Suggestions

I'll discuss this with our Forum team and see what they think.
