Design Blocks in Modules / Sub sheets

Hi,

currently in EAGLE 8.2.0 design blocks (including PCB layout) can only be used in the main sheet.

However my PCB design is highly modular where I reuse sub-circuit und sub-layouts many times.

So it would be nice that design blocks can be used in modules / sub-sheets.

When will this be implemented? Are the developers already working on this or is this not going to be working in next few month?

Would appreciate a more concrete answer.

Hi Olli,

Greatly appreciate your participation on forum and especially your suggestions. As you have noticed Design Block was implemented not to long ago, but its proven to be an amazing tool which saves tons of time.  As you noticed, EAGLE 8.2.0 includes a Design Block Editor . There are plans to make this happen for modules, but we don't have a timeline at this time.  I will attempt to add to this forum thread to the existing case and post any progress.
