Creating custom part - missing tracing possibility?

Hello Community!

I am starting my adventure with EAGLE, so I'm very beginner right now. I saw a lot of tutorials, which showed how to create custom parts.

But my goal is to create part, which consists of traces only, but I can't really find option to do this.

Something like this (only traces):

tracingtracing

Is there a possibility or tool to do that? Or am I missing something?

Hello,

You will need to put small surface mount pads at the two points where you intend to connect into the device in your circuit, and EAGLE needs something to be able to associate with the pins. The rest you will have to draw manually with polygons/wires. You'll need to polygons to surround the centre of the pads and extend out to make it recognise it as a custom pad shape and not give DRC errors then I think you may be able to get away with drawing wires after that but I'm not sure (you may need to draw it all as polygons). One thing you will need to do is manually draw the tStop and tCream layers if needed over the copper as these will not be auto-generated.

Best Regards,

Thank you very much for your help! I drew wires using Line tool on Bottom layer, then followed them by drawing same lines on bStop layer and everything works perfect, thank you!
